Episode #219: Side Project Brewing

You may be able to tell by now that I am a big fan of the recent focus on rustic, Belgian-inspired ales being brewed here in the States. One new brewery garnering a lot of attention for their use of Brettanomyces and barrel-fermentation is Side Project Brewing. Today we’ve the got the pleasure of trying two of their saisons, Du Blé and Fermier.

About the Temple

The Beer Temple is a craft beer store, owned and operated by Chris and Margaret Quinn of Chicago, Illinois. Chris is a Siebel Institute Master of Beer Styles and Evaluation, and also a Certified Cicerone. Margaret is a Certified Beer Server, and has completed classes at the Siebel Institute.

Hours of Operation

Monday-Thursday 11:00am-8:00pm
Friday-Saturday 11:00am-9:00pm
Sunday 12:00pm-5:00pm


The Beer Temple is located at 3185 N. Elston Avenue, at the corners of Belmont, Elston and California Avenues. Free parking behind the building!!
