Episode #174: Pipeworks Revisited

A lot has changed for Pipeworks since we had their very first batch of Ninja vs Unicorn a little over a year ago, not least of which is them being named at the #1 new brewery in the world by Ratebeer. Today, Chris checks back in to see what’s up with this exciting new brewery.

  1. From "Russ Perry Jr" :

I can’t help but wonder if they intentionally make the “ninja” beers harder to find than the “unicorn” beers, as I’ve managed to find the “unicorn” ones easily enough, but have never managed to get my hands on the Citra Ninja, and Ninja Vs Unicorn only once. I suppose it’s more about demand than supply, but I keep thinking “are ninjas really better at hiding from me than mythological creatures?!?”.

  2. From "Steve" :

I was at Binny’s in Lincoln Park for the KBS release. They had a full stock of Citra Ninja (two full rows on the Pipeworks shelf). I read it was gone within an hour!

  3. From "Ryan" :

Thanks for doing the Pipeworks episode. I’ve heard great things and it was cool to learn more about the brewery and their beers. I am coming to Chicago from Minneapolis for Dark Lord Day and am definitely planning on stopping at your store to pick up some of these beers. Love the podcast!

  4. From "JB" :

Warm it up Chris! Nuff respect for mixing in an impromptu Kriss Kross reference along with your sneak peak of the Pipeworks products. My birthday is April 25th, wink (after pathetic) wink, will there be anything out of the ordinary happening on Dark Lord Day at the store?
