Episode #154: Terrapin So Fresh, So Green Green (2012 Citra)

Wet hop beers utilize hops that have been picked within 24-48hrs of brew time. The result is intense hop character with an added green, vegetal note at times. These are beers meant to be drank fresh in order to fully celebrate the hop harvest. Today, Chris tastes the appropriately named So Fresh and so Green Green from Georgia brewery Terrapin.

First audio cut-in in the Beer Temple history? Next episode is at the new store? It’s December with the holidays soon coming up – man this must be an exciting time for the Quinns!

Yep, busy times for us! I’m not sure if the next episode will be at the store or not…but soon the show will be transitioning there. Super pumped about it too!

hi Chris, I just stumbled on your deal and I’ve been ‘wasting’ way too much time watching you taste and talk about beer. Cheers!

Thanks for this show about a wet hop beer. Fresh hopped styles are so delicious in the Pac NW (I’m in Seattle). As an American hop varietal fan, I’d say this is now my favorite style. It sucks that this is the one seasonal variety that is truly only available seasonally. My favorite is from a small Seattle brewery called Fremont Brewing. Since I’ll be stocking up next year, I’ll make sure to send you a bomber.

Give a holler if you’re ever in Seattle. I’d love to buy you a beer!
