    I’m guessing you might have been calling me out for the Scotty Karate thing…

    Story is that at a tasting at Brasserie Jo in Chicago, I came up to the Dark Horse table to ask for a pour, and I realized the guy pouring looked oddly familiar, and it occurred to me that the guy on the Scotty Karate label could be a caricature of the guy in front of me.

    So I asked, “Are you Scotty Karate?”

    He answered, “Yeah. You got any weed?”

    Had to disappoint the guy, but at least I got a laugh out of it, and the beer.

About the Temple

The Beer Temple is a craft beer store, owned and operated by Christopher and Margaret Quinn of Chicago, Illinois. Chris is recognized by the Siebel Institute of Technology, America's oldest brewing school, as a Master of Beer Styles and Evaluation. He is a Certified Cicerone, a recognized judge with the Beer Judge Certification Program, and member of the beer panel at the Beverage Testing Institute. Margaret is a Certified Beer Server, and has also completed classes at the Siebel Institute of Technology.
